Troubleshooting the OLE DB Provider for DB2 The Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Event Viewer can be a useful tool for troubleshooting data access in some cases. The OLE DB Provider for DB2 does not issue events. However, when SNA (APPC/LU 6.2) is used for the network transport for the OLE DB Provider for DB2, the low-level SNA APPC transport issues events on the SNA connection. The Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 supplied with Host Integration Server 2006 has the ability to trace DRDA data flows when used over TCP/IP. This DB2 tracing capability is accessible from the DB2 Network Library inside the Trace utility. This facility will show the same data as an APPC trace but without the control indicators (for example, What_Received). Socket errors are traced and the error codes can be looked up in Winsock2.h

Integration Services Error and Message Reference SQL Server 2016 Other Versions SQL Server 2014 SQL Server 2012 SQL Server 2008 R2 Applies To: SQL Server 2016The following tables list predefined Integration Services errors, warnings, and informational messages, in ascending numerical order within each category, along with their numeric codes and symbolic names. Each of these errors is defined as a field in the T:Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Hresults class in the Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime namespace. This list may be useful when you encounter an error code without its description. The list does not include troubleshooting information at this time. Important Many of the error messages that you may see while working with Integration Services come from other components. In this topic, you will find all the errors raised by Integration Services components. If you do not see your error in the list, the error was raised by a component outside Integration Services. These may include OLE DB providers, other database components such as the Database Engine and Analysis Services , or other services or components such as the file system, the SMTP server, Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ), and so forth. To find information about these external error messages, see the documentation specific to the component. This list cadontains the following groups of messages:Error Messages (DTS_E_*)Warning Messages (DTS_W_*)Informational Messages(DTS_I_*)General and Event Messages(DTS_MSG_*)Success Messages(DTS_S_*)Data Flow Component Error Messages (DTSBC_E_*)Error MessagesThe symbolic names of Integration Services error messages begin with DTS_E_
