Internal Error Invalid Pane Configuration. Ms Visual Database Tools

I also have Visual Studio 2003, 2005, and 2008 installed.In SQL Server 2005, I am having a problem right clicking and opening a table.I tried loading SQL Server 2008 but the install program fails with an invalid string length.I have uninstalled and reinstalled ASP.NET 1.1, 2, and 3.5 sp1.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.The following is the error that I am receiving:===================================Internal Error, invalid pane configuration. I've been grappling for quite some time to get my Visual Studio .NET 2013 DataSet Designer to play nice with my installation of the Oracle 12 client https://community.oracle.com/thread/3879664 and development tools. In my Visual Studio 2013 Data Set Designer, I can connect to the Oracle database and create very simple queries however as soon as I try to do anything more complex than that, Microsoft Visual Studio throws an Internal Error, invalid pane configuration. When I mean complex, I mean something like this: Select FIELD_VALUE, FIELD_ID, ITEM_ID From RYL.RYL_FLD_VAL_TEXT Where (ITEM_ID = :ItemID) and (FIELD_ID = FieldID) As you can see this is really not complex; just a simple query that accepts two parameters. In my designer, I can see the table, type in the query, add/change fields, sort order, etc., but as soon as I attempt to execute the query, the error is thrown. And I do not know what's wrong and I have not been able to find anything substantial to help me overcome this. I've installed and uninstalled both Oracle and Visual Studio numerous times.
