I've been getting the same error for many applications running from wine, each in it's own bottle. Garena starts with the error but I can't log in, Heroes 3 runs without a glitch and suddenly crashes with the same error, Microsoft Office same thing, just crashes out of the blue, I can't install ie7 or ie8....same thing. Console output shows nothing wierd...only the error dialog box appears and depending on the application it either crashes or it seems to keep working and does nothing. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 RC1 Kernel 2.6.35-22-generic Wine 1.3.3 Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2 GHz 2GB RAM any help would be apreciated. dimesio Post subject: Re: Internal error - invalid parameters recievedPosted: Fri Oct 01, 2010 9:52 am Moderator User Control Panel Joined: Tue Mar 25, 2008 10:30 pmPosts: 11042 kicsyromy wrote:I've upgraded to maverick from lucid (a clean install). For me personally, I don't think I would pay for another wine wrapped game - it has to be native or not all or the wine wrapped game won't be getting my cash! [/update] I installed LIMBO from the Humble Bundle V and as far as I am aware, this has wine packaged with it (I also installed the latest from the repo's in case is was because of that). However the game doesn't even start and fails with the message: Wine Program Error Internal errors - invalid parameters received. Is there a way to log the error or does anyone know why this happens? This question was asked previously but it seems to have disappeared. My Graphics cards is a Geforece GT 250 Cheers ice. [edit: Wine outputs the following error: wine /opt/limbo/support/limbo/drive_c/Program\ Files/limbo/limbo.exe fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 59 (SPI_SETSTICKYKEYS) fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 53 (SPI_SETTOGGLEKEYS) fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 51 (SPI_SETFILTERKEYS) fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f580,0x00000000), stub! err:
