[ subject ] [ author ] Errors starting with "L" are fairly frequent in my experience..at least once a week! I called Borland a long time back about this and was told it signifies a compiler error and that's http://www.delphigroups.info/2/21/516472.html all. In every incidence so far, doing a rebuild solves the problem for me without having to restart. from Robert Meek dba Tangentals Design e-mail: rmeek at ptd.net phone: (570) 874-3968 "All experience has value. All values come from http://lists.elists.org/pipermail/delphi/2000-May/008712.html within our perception of the experience." This problem has just started today. I'm using Sql on TApolloTables and Reportbuilder and every now and than when I go to compile I get this error "[Fatal Error] Internal Error: L470". To fix, I have to restart Delphi (5.0Professional, Build 5.62). I've not pinpointed what sequence of events are coursing this to happen, but if anyone has encountered this problem can they please help as Delphi's help does not refer to it. Now, I get a lot of Internal Error L470 when I try to compile. Unfortunately, contrary to usual L470 compiler errors, this one does not go away when I rebuild. I found that often, Delphi also mentions Internal Error L471 (which is not reported on the Net) instead of L470 when I compile and also "Unit XXX recursively uses itself" (XXX is the unit of my main form). Strangely, this latter error is on line 1 of the unit which happens to contain only a remark, so there is no error there for sure. Strangely, the only way I found to compile is: - Try fir
Is there anyone who knows what this can depend on? I would appreciate any answer. Hopefully, Jesús From: Jesús Reina Carvajal Subject: Re: Internal error L470 NewsGroup: borland.public.delphi.rtl Date Posted: 24-Apr-2003 at 10:35:33 PST I've found out why ! I had an overload function (with two different implementations and interfaces) and one of them was not included in the interface section of the unit. So it work OK now. Thanks anyway ! /Jesús "Jesús Reina Carvajal"
