By start_to_disspoint - 12:20 AM on February 4, 2012 YES now happened on Fireworks CS5! Start to feel disappointed with Adobe product. Try the solution by deleting: [Drive, C:]\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Fireworks CS5\[language]\Fireworks CS5 Panel Prefs.xml and even the whole [Drive, C:]\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Fireworks CS5 once relaunch, FW will recreate the structure of those folders again. STILL same problem and message displayed. By English - 6:58 AM on February 14, 2012 This worked for me - thank you! All the applications in Web Premium work except Fireworks. When I try to open it, I get an https://groups.google.com/d/msg/macromedia.fireworks/8-cgOymlFIk/Q9TdoY5fXEQJ error message, "Fireworks cannot open. An internal error occurred." After hours of being on the phone with Adobe, uninstalling, and reinstalling, I found that if I login to my internal error Mac as another user, Fireworks will open.I have run permissions and disc repair, but this has not solved the problem.I hope someone can tell me how to get Fireworks to open under my regular user name.Thanks.Monty Power PC G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11) Posted on Oct 27, 2008 10:49 AM I have this question too Close Q: Fireworks Won't Open internal error occurred All replies Helpful answers by Carolyn Samit, Carolyn Samit Oct 27, 2008 11:45 AM in response to Monty Cook Level 10 (123,891 points) Apple Music Oct 27, 2008 11:45 AM in response to Monty Cook HI Monty,Try this ... locate this file in your account: com.macromedia.fireworks.plist(The wording on the file might be a little different, but I'm close)/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. From the Preferences folder, drag that .plist file to the Trash, empty the Trash. Now, run Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities) and Repair Disk Permissions. Launch DU, select MacintoshHD 10.x.x in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab, then click Repair Disk Permisisons. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot your Mac. See if you can open Fireworks after doing this ...Carolyn Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Monty Cook, Monty Cook Oct 27, 2008 1:35 PM in response to Carolyn Samit Level 1 (0 points) Oct 27, 2008 1:35 PM in response to Carolyn Samit Hi Carolyn,Thank you for your response.
