a hitch. When I insert either card into the Kodak C310 (New camera), it says the empty card's memory is full. I try to format the card from the C310 and it says formatting... and then gives a filesys error e00100.

It doesn't format it. I dont have a card reader to try and have the computer format it, but I'm not sure that will work either. I formatted one of the cards with the DX4330 and tried it in the C310, and it still has the same problem. Could there be a problem with the new camera? Could the new camera be incompatible with the Sandisk Memory cards? I am leary of purchasing a Kodak brand card, simply because they are kodak easyshare z710 memory card unusable a little more expensive and I'm not sure if it will solve the problem. guacman, Sep 13, 2005 #1 Sponsor etaf Wayne Moderator Joined: Oct 2, 2003 Messages: 60,957 They both work in the older Kodak DX4330 without a hitch. i select format and it says "filesys error e00100" however the card works fine with kodak easyshare z740 memory card requires formatting my PC and printer. so is there any way to get around this issue or do i need to buy a kodak easyshare z740 wont format memory card new card? bluedishwasher, Aug 22, 2006 #1 computerhakk VIP Member Messages: 3,626 Your model seems like an older model and maybe it does not support the 2gb SD card. I tried searching for clues to https://forums.techguy.org/threads/new-kodak-camera-will-not-format-memory-card-error.398611/ what it may support, but to no avail, wasn't able to find anything. I did notice that someone commented that they used a 512mb and it worked. I also looked at their site and they listed from 16mb to 512mb also, so 512mb may be the most it supports. Try reading your manual/user guide to see if it indicates anything. You can also try contacting Kodak. computerhakk, Aug 22, 2006 #2 MONKEY http://www.computerforum.com/threads/problem-with-memory-card.55358/ BOY New Member Messages: 149 company dont like u using other cards from other companys eg i can put a olimpus into a fuji but i cant put fuji into olimpus i cant spell but u get the picture it all depends on the company so yeah kodak might only take kodak cards just a thought MONKEY BOY, Aug 22, 2006 #3 DCIScouts VIP Member Messages: 6,916 No, Kodak will take lots of other cards. Where I work we sell Kodak cameras and don't sell Kodak cards. The C310 model I believe can only support up to a 1GB card because the camera is about a year and a half old model, while the 2GB cards have only come out in the last 6 months or so... Sorry, man. DCIScouts, Aug 22, 2006 #4 bluedishwasher New Member Messages: 642 ah thanks for that. i will be sure to buy a replacement card. thanks bluedishwasher, Aug 22, 2006 #5 tthomas New Member Messages: 1 I have the same problem with a kodak c310 camera and a kingston sd card. Same error. Have you bought a new card yet and did the new card work? tthomas, Sep 18, 2006 #6 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) Show Ignored Content
