A big thank you to the folks that helped me fix it. Where I live there is no place that fixes these camera. I had a really great repair experience fixing it with this particular place, they just specialize in the Canon Powershot cameras only and they fixed the thing perfectly! I wanted to share my experience canon lens error 01 fix with others as I know I am not the only one to have to deal with this lens error problem. I sent them my video but since they can't post it, I thought to put it up myself. For those of you that are having this lens error thing, the site I used was terrific and they were way less than Canon for the repair, plus they service up the camera when it is in being fixed. The camera is performing flawlessly now and I am again a happy camper! Category People & Blogs License Standard YouTube License Show more Show less Loading... Ask Your Own Camera and Video Question Customer: replied5 years ago. When I engage the canon lens error "on" switch to turn on the camera, the view screen flashes the Canon image for a couple seconds. The screen goes black, and a small greenish/yellow light flashes a few times at the small "dot-like" place to the right of the small view-finder. Then, there are three, high-pitched beeps. Then all sounds and images stop. Expert: Russell A. replied5 years ago. Does the lens attempt to move at all? Ask Your Own Camera and Video Question Customer: replied5 years ago. Lens doesn't attempt to move at all. Just a couple flashes of a tiny light and three beep sounds. Expert: Russell A. replied5 years ago. Ok,First, try turning the camera on with the memory card removed. If the camera starts up correctly the problem is probably the card. If no change, press and hold the Menu button for 5 seconds and please let me know the result. If, and only if my answer to your question is helpful, please click the green Accept button and leave Positive Feedback.
