Canon S100 Lens Error Repair
In reply to B1ackhat • Aug 15, 2011 My S90 also canon camera repair lens error died last week...Any idea what the typical cost is for repairing the lens error through canon?I called and how to fix canon lens error they steered me straight to the customer loyalty program... but I'd definitely prefer to fix the S90 if possible. About a week ago, I went on a trip, took pictures the whole trip, everything was ok. The lens mechanism retraction is very fragile. One grain of sand is enough to break the camera. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. I have written a blog post about some things that you can do to try to correct it. T
