In its place it has adopted the more common term "lens error" that other manufacturers use. As such, its newer cameras report this term when the problem occurs. Any suggestions? Thanks, clthomaHi there. This is a known issue in that there is just not quite enough space before the lens bumps the back of the 0758. However you can buy a spacer which will give it that little extra length and elimate the error. See this post at the Sx forum about the same problem:Quite true; a well-discussed incompatibility as there is a 1/4" protrusion at the rear of the 0758. The Sonys can deal with it; the Canons cannot. There is no like protrusion from the 1758. But as bluenoser said the fix is simple.-mamallama Reply Reply with quote Complain ForumParentFirstPreviousNextFlat view Post (hide subjects) Posted by When S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - Sony VCL-DH1758 vs. Olympus TCON-17 senoreit Feb 7, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - Sony VCL-DH1758 vs. Olympus TCON-17 Montana500 Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - Sony VCL-DH1758 vs. Olympus TCON-17 Montana500 Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - Sony VCL-DH1758 vs. Olympus TCON-17 senoreit Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - Sony VCL-DH1758 vs. Olympus TCON-17 senoreit Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - check this site snowline Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - check this site senoreit Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - check this site ricks pics Feb 8, 2006 Re: S2 IS Teleconverter Comparison - Sony VCL-DH1758 vs
