Veröffentlicht am 28.09.2012I would occasionally get lens errors or retry power on messages on my Casio Exilim digital camera. I traced the problem to the battery. Apparently the Casio Exilim is more sensitive to power than other digital cameras. Fully charged batteries that work fine in other cameras, seem to give the Casio problems. I experienced these problems both on my Casio Exilim EX-S8 and my Casio Exilim EX-S5. If the lens extends but you hear a high pitched buzzing noise, it is the focus motor that is the gears are out or your have debris it it. I would start by reading these tips and see what you get. It can be fixed. Usually w/o any parts. Casio Exilim cameras don't really have good dust/debris protection, and the focus motor gears are easy to get jammed up. I buy these on eBay all the time, and fix them. They also get knocked out of alignment easily if dropped. When this happens I turn it on and off again until they go back in. I can't htink of anything I did to it or could have gotten in to the lens. There's nothing visibly wrong, but when I turn it on the lens make a kind of whirring noise. Is there any way to fix it? I can't remember when i got it, and I don't know if it's still under warranty.
