I think my file is messed up and i just gotta deal with it. creating a new camera should solve the problem... When I create a new camera, it puts it canon g11 lens error restart camera in the middle of my sculpt and doesnt let me zoom or track even though they arent locked. When I click reset on the new camera, it keeps the same messed up rotation orientation on my model. I feel like this is some kind of bug. I might try reimporting the sculpt to a new file. edit: I reimported and its still messed up. It's as if I rotated the model but I never did, I've just been sculpting on it. edit2: yep its rotated... dont know how that happened 0 · Share on TwitterIndie Video Game Developer My Site Offline / Send Message oglu polycounter lvl 7 July 2012 click the home icon on the view cube... 0 · Share on Twitter Offline / Send Message Inhert polygon July 2012 Go to Object List > Perspective Camera > 2D Transform > 2D Angle should be zero. around the center of the grid. For some reason, in a new project the pivot point has somehow been changed. It now pivots around nothing in particular, and is a huge problem when I zoom in http://polycount.com/discussion/101673/reset-mudbox-camera to work on something. How can I change the Perspective camera settings back to what they were originally? I've tried making other cameras, but they don't solve my problem. JYoung06-12-2008, 12:10 AMDid you select an object and press f? That'll frame whatever you have selected and pivot around it. ssycko06-12-2008, 12:18 AMI tried that, and still the same problem, unfortunately. CurtJ06-22-2008, 11:38 PMDid you solve this problem? I had a similar frustrating problem, http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php?t-641748.html although I'm not sure if this will work for you. I accidentally pressed something last week whilst rushing a job - my hand/thumb/finger slipped (yeah, I know) as I was trying to delete history with alt-d. I basically hit an extra key or two, and the persp view went flying off into infinity. So, I undid the camera and a couple of actions just in case and everything looked alright, then I noticed my persp tumble pivot was no longer moving with the camera but staying focused on the last framed object. Creating a new cam fixed the problem but that wasn't much good. Creating a new scene or reloading the scene brought back the problem. Anyway, to cut a long and boring story short the cause was the tumble tool itself. I opened the tumble tool settings, and switched 'Tumble about:' from 'Tumble pivot' to 'Center of interest' - something I've never used in 8 years of using Maya - and that fixed it. Strange thing is - I scrutinised my hotkeys and there is nothing assigned to that switch SpaXe06-23-2008, 03:29 AMWhat an odd ball. I had that problem many a times, but never was the rotating pivot problem - I always hit F and it goes back okay. For camera flying into infini

I was discouraged but I kept doing it and I actually tried to lighting bang the camera on he table while opening the camera and it worked! Moral of the story there is probably dust but it won't get out the first time. Try it a couple of times and bang it very gently on the table. Good luck!
