Toast 11 - Error Result Code= -50 Started by Col25 , Feb 07 2013 05:21 PM Error Please log in to reply 6 replies to this topic #1 Col25 Col25 Newbie Members 1 posts Posted 07 February 2013 - 05:21 PM I am running Toast 11.1 on Mac OSX 10.7.5 and when I am trying to convert .MTS files (from a JVC Camera) I converted 40 and then when I tried to get another 10 files done it came up with "Couldn't complete the last command because (ID= -50). Result Code = -50" (See screen shot.) I have 40gig+ of disk space and trying to convert around 5 gig of footage. I have tried this around 5 times with different files to get the same result Any help will be appreciated Attached Files Screen Shot 2013-02-08 at 12.01.40 PM.png 585.08KB 0 downloads Back to top #2 tsantee tsantee Digital Guru Members 14,131 posts Gender:Male Location:Eugene, Oregon Posted 08 February 2013 - 05:20 PM I have no clue. However, I suggest completely shutting down and then restarting your Mac to see if that resets things to work as they did before. I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon! I have Toast 11 Titanium on a MacBook Pro 17" 750GB HD, OS X 10.6.8. I have tried fixing Permissions, Repairing Disk and even uninstalled every Toast related file & re-installed Toast - Nada, still have the problem. Roxio (now Corel) has no support since I have had the program 14 days (Not about to pay them a dime for support since i just purchased the upgrade in Sep). Checked all of their Knowledge Base to no avail. Can't find a single solution on the net. Mac OS 9.2 When recording or extracting an audio CD, I get error message "Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS Error. Result code = -50". I notice that all tracks are extracted except the last track. Why? and what is the solution? Thanks Simon, Feb 17, 2004 #1 Advertisements Matti Haveri Guest In article <>, (Simon) wrote: > When recording or extracting an audio CD, I get error message > "Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS Error. FWIW, at least old Toast versions choked if a track name had a directory separator ":" in it. I don't know how "/" is handled. (Also if there were two or more tracks where the first 31 characters are the same (CDDB names, for example), then Toast Audio Extractor happily overwrote previosly written tracks with newer ones). Is there free space on the volume? What http://www.mac-help.com/threads/roxio-toast-5-cannot-complete-last-command-error-code-50.55796/ does the Disk Utility say? -- Matti Haveri

Hardware used: - SD card = Sandisk Extreme III 8GB mac os error Class 6 SDHC - Mac = PowerPC (not Intel) running Toast 10 to convert 720/60p MTS files - GH13 = with LPowell 40Mbps Note 1: - No problem using 1080p files from same batch off SD card. Already tried: I repaired disk permissions, as suggested by my google search to other websites' suggestions. The error appears in following scenarios. Scenario 1: Converting 720/60p GH13 file using external HD as both input and output save location. Scenario 2: Converting 720/60p GH13 file using internal HD as input and output save location. Note 2: this also happened in the past with un-hacked files. I just gave up back then, assuming the SD card needed to be re-formated.
