I've tried with the original mac os disk that came with the PB with version 10.4.0 and the sensor always appears. I've tried with a retail mac os 10.4.6 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18627-fixing-the-b0-error/ mac os x installation disk and the sensor only appears with warm starts. I've updates 10.4.0 to 10.4.10 and I have the same problem, this upgrade done from system update and with the combo updater.the only consequence is that widgets like Level don't work. Starting the computer takes like 1 second more and in the system.log log I get the error:Oct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1171119?start=0&tstart=0 IOI2CController::clientReadI2C cmd key:1017, B:1, A:b0 S:25, L:1, M:3 status:0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: -IOI2CController::clientReadI2C status = 0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::readBytes ERROR: failed to read from I2COct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::shockIntHandler ERROR: failed to read the byteOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: IOI2CController::clientWriteI2C cmd key:1019, B:1, A:b0 S:25, L:1, M:2 status:0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: -IOI2CController::clientWriteI2C status = 0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::writeBytes ERROR: failed to write to I2COct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::clearInterrupt ERROR: failed to write the bytes, retval = 0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::shockIntHandler ERROR: failed to clear the interrupt, retval = 0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: IOI2CController::clientReadI2C cmd key:101b, B:1, A:b0 S:0, L:1, M:3 status:0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: -IOI2CController::clientReadI2C status = 0xe00002edOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::readBytes ERROR: failed to read from I2COct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::checkResult ERROR: failed to read the bytesOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::writeCommand ERROR: failed to check the result codeOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::startApp ERROR: failed to send kStartAppCommOct 8 00:29:31 localhost kernel[0]: AMS::start ERROR: startApp failedApple has this kb article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300781 but doesn't help much and this forum has reports from other people but with old
changes 37.72.191.166 B0 error From OSx86 Jump to: navigation, search The b0 error occurs on bootup, if no partition is active (or if you install GIUD drivers http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/B0_error and are using MBR disk). This basically means that the boot loader http://realtechtalk.com/Install_Mac_OS_X_1046_Tiger_on_AMD32_VMWare-1003-articles is not configured correctly. To boot with the boot loader from the DVD, you need to know which partition/slice you installed to. If you do not know which partition/slice you installed to, boot from the install DVD instead insert the OS X install Hit F8 when invited to do mac os so Enter rd=disk0s1, or the partition/slice you installed to (in this example: first slice on first partition). Once OSX has booted, make partition active and/or set the startup disk as explained below. Setting the startup disk in OS X: When you're in the installer Click Startup Disk from the Utilities menu When booted from plain OSX Open System Preferences and click Startup mac os x Disk Click the desired the startup Disk To make a partition active, do this: Start Terminal.app Enter: sudo -s (enter your password) fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (the disk number may be different on your installation, eg. rdisk1) print (list all partitions) flag 1 (sets partition 1 as bootable - might be a different number on your installation) quit (answer y to save settings) Now reboot the computer. You should now be able to boot without the install cd. . When this solution does not work, try this: Start the computer with the CD. Wait until you can start the Terminal from the menu Type this: fdisk -u /dev/rdisk0 (or any other number if it is not the first disk) Quit the Terminal Quit the Installer, a dialog box appears Click "Choose Startup Disk" Choose your first disk Click Reboot Retrieved from "http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php?title=B0_error&oldid=57378" This page was last modified on 4 June 2011, at 23:23. Install Mac OS X 10.4.6 Tiger on AMD32 VMWare - Install Mac OS X 10.4.6 Tiger on AMD32 VMWare *Note OS X is strange to install, I thought my HDD was not being detected by you just have to go to Diskutil and create a partition for the root filesystem and then close/move the Window and proceed with the install. After install Mac OS X 10.4.6 Tiger I get a black screen that says: b0 error Most people say the partition has to be marked as "active", actually that just means marked as "bootable". Instead of the Mac OS X disc, you can use any Linux boot disc and mark the partition as bootable. fdisk /dev/hda1
#list partitions
p
#set active
a
#choose partition to make active
1 But after that I get a screen with a power symbol in the background that says: You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button I heard this is caused by not having an SSE2/SSE3 patch.
