Runtime error 2212 won't print object P: 10 Russell613 I have a shared database that prints out pull lists for inventory. The user puts in there information in a form and clicks a button at the bottom for the printing. The printing works on all computers in the office but one. That one computer keeps throwing the error 2212. I have set that computer to the default shared printer and rebooted but it still continues the error. The coding is below. Solved Priniting report causes error "2212 couldn't print object" Posted on 2006-10-26 MS Access 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 2,204 Views Last Modified: 2008-03-10 I've been looking for an answer to a particular question that has been puzzling me. I've discovered this ms access thread: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Databases/MS_Access/Q_21760628.html "The shared printer on the other PC is still functional, but on the PC where I want to run the report from, the shared printer in control panel says "opening" instead of "ready". I am unable to print a test page." The symptopms I have been experiencing are very similar - though I have more background. The background: I've had to reinstall a bunch of printers following an update that's been made to a ms access error W2K server. The update seems to have caused the print spooler to become corrupted so I've had to clean out the spooler subsystem . I've since reinstalled the printers. Now we have an app written in VBA using Access 2003 and it is set to default to one of the printers I have just reinstalled. I have tested the printer and it does appear to work ok - however when I trigger the VBA to start the print job the printer returns error 2212. I am perplexed and this is urgent. 0 Question by:antihippy Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 38 Best Solution bypuppydogbuddy see the attached link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871146 You are going to have to go down the checklist item by item unless there is a specific item that stands out as a problem in Go to Solution 1 Comment LVL 38 Overall: Level 38 MS Access 33 Message Accepted Solution by:puppydogbuddy2006-10-26 see the attached link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871146 You are going to have to go down the checklist item by item unless there is a specific item that stands out as a problem in your installation. 0 Write Comment First Name Please enter a first name Last Name Please enter a last name Email We will never share this with anyone.
