Error 3029 Not A Valid Account Name or Password Unknown User asked Dec 18, 2002 | Replies (5) Hello everyone, None of my end users can get into Microsoft Access. When we double click on Microsoft Access a logon box pops up, but our user names and passwords do not work. I get the message "Not a valid account name or password", then I click on the Help button which gives me "Error 3029". I have no idea how to correct this. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance. Dawn Hayward Applicati
I belive I am getting this from a secure Access 2003 MDB. But I am just trying to open any Access 2007 file and still getting the 'logon' prompt, follwed by the 'Not a valid account name or password. (Error 3029)' regardless of what I try to logon with. Any thoughts? Thanks Scott grey_squirrels, Jan 29, 2008 #1 Advertisements Joan Wild Guest How are you opening the files? Are you first opening 2007 and using the Open command? Are you opening via a double click in Windows Explorer? How many versions of Access do you have installed on your computer? -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP "grey_squirrels" <> wrote in message news... >I belive I am getting this from a secure Access 2003 MDB. I had the trial of 2007, but now have the 2007 Enterprise ed. Iwill go look to see if I have any 'others' floating around http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/not-a-valid-account-name-or-password-error-3029.3401288/ that I missed. Use the workgroup administrator to rejoin system.mdw. -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP "grey_squirrels" <> wrote in message news:... > Joan, > I have tried opening both ways. > I had the trial of 2007, but now have the 2007 Enterprise ed. > > Iwill go look to see if I have any 'others' floating around that I missed. > > Scott > > "Joan Wild" wrote: > >> How are you opening the files?
