Error 3049 and 53 in Access 2007 P: 4 cstevens I have a database that suddenly would not open on any of our computers...it is shared between 10 users and none of them can open it. The first error message says "File not found" then when I try to close that message another pops up that says "The database cannot be opened because the VBA project cannot be read. The database con only be opened if the VBA project is deleted....etc." It then asks me to make a backup prior to deleting the VBA project which I am unable to do. When I click on any of the commands it takes me to a new error that reads "Cannot open database: It may not be a database that your application recognized or the file is corrupt". Then when I try to close THIS error message it loops me back to the original "File not found" and the only way to get out of it is CTRL/ALT/DELETE...end program. Any ideas as to why this would suddenly occur? Thanks! Jun 15 '10 #1 Post Reply Share this Question 6 Replies Expert 100+ P: 931 patjones This application was working fine up to this point? Given how the program wants us to "save the changes to the database" when we attempt to save the attached word file it makes me thing they wrote some kind of a macro to enable the system to do that and that's what's causing grief now. Since it doesn't automatically "go" to the word file and sometimes we have to detach a
