Very nice Back to my problem: I am getting the error: This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator.afterwards the log shows:MainEngineThread is returning 1625 hm.I have used Advanced Installer 12.1 to create this setup. To make sure, this problem is not related to this specific Advanced Installer version, I downgraded to 12.0 and also tried out 12.2, but without changes. From my point of view this is problem is kind of surprising. I reflected all my changes in the setup project and I did not found any major change compared to previous versions (of course, files have been updated, registry keys added, one feature has been deleted and the prerequisites have slightly changed). But these are things you can do within a major update. How we install the setup:First the setup is advertised, then installed without user interface (option: /qn+). Also this procedure has not been changed since a while. I did a test with option /qb and noticed, that the UAC prompt is popping up, but it shouldn't. This I have already seen in the past, but should be avoidable with /qn.I asked also our system administrators, nobody has changed any system policies or group policies recently. How can I find more information, what is causing the problem here? Any Idea?I attached the verbose log file for this installation. Thanks for helping,Regards,Roland Attachments Installation.log (53.03 KiB) Downloaded 16 times Top Daniel Posts: 5447 Joined: Mon Apr 02, 2012 1:11 pm Contact: Contact Daniel Website Re: Getting Error: This installation is forbidden by system policy.
