This is curious because regarding to Novells Knowledgebase (and equal experience) the ZEN MSI Error 1603 means Fatal Error, most often in conjunction with a lack of rights. Answered 09/27/2005 by: rpfenninger Please log in to comment Please log in to comment 0 I had the same problem with acrobat std v7. The msi msi error 1603 and mst would run from the cmd prompt, start > run and by opening the msi from the network location. However, it wouldn't run from my ZEN application object. I kept receiving the MSI 1603 error. To resolve the error, open the ZEN application object, select the "other" tab, remove the setting for "zenappDistributionType". (This entry was set to a value of 2.) Then, my acrobat msi package ran correctly.
