We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines: Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold. Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link. Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes. Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Answer Where are you trying to back up to? If it's to a cd/dvd, I would suggest backing up to your desktop or some other convenient location and then burn the backup to the cd/dvd. If it's to a flash drive or removable hard drive sheck the device for available space. It's possible you'll have to make it a two-step process by backing up to the local hard drive and then copying the file to your external storage device. Was this answer helpful? How big is your file before back up. I'm native error 00043 not familiar with QB POS, is there an option to compress the file before backing up. This usually keep old transactions in your file but remove the detail. This should be ok because you should have at least two back up disks. Just archive the most recent and get a new disk. That way you can restore to view detail of you ever need to. Another solution might be just get a fresh back up disk. Whilst there might be 50% space left, some or all might be corrupt. It's part of a merging process we do. Like this... ZipDestination := TZipForge.Create(nil); if FileExists(DestinationZipFileName) then ZipDestination.OpenArchive(fmOpenReadWrite + fmShareDenyWrite) else ZipDestination.OpenArchive(fmCreate); ZipDestination.Zip64Mode := zmAuto; ZipDestination.MergeWith(SourceZipFileName); ZipDestination.CloseArchive; and this is the code that gets a blob from the archive, uncompresses it, and makes it ready for the viewer. CompressedStream := TMemoryStream.Create; UnCompressedStream := TMemoryStream.Create; GetCompressedStream(CompressedStream); // this fetches the blob from the zipfile ZipForge.InMemory := True; // Native Error 00035 on next line (sometimes) ZipForge.OpenArchive(CompressedStream, False); ZipForge.FindFirst('*.*', ArchiveItem, faAnyFile - faDirectory); sZipFileName := ArchiveItem.FileName; sZipPath := ArchiveItem.StoredPath; ZipForge.ExtractToStream(sZipPath + sZipFileName, UnCompressedStream); ZipForge.CloseArchive; but I'm encountering "Native error 00035" sometimes. Now the strange thing is that I'm getting these errors when I try to view the first blob within the merged archive (ie. trying to view other blobs within the merged archive doesn't raise any exception) It could be something about ZipForge.MergeWith that I haven't catered for, or it could be a bug in my GetCompressedStream (but if I switch the order of blobs within the archive, it always happens to the first one only). Look like it's time for a test project to see what's really going on. EDIT Original question was simply asking for guidance on these Native Errors, for which I'm satisfied with the answer I've chosen. As for my problem, well I'm convinced it's an issue
