Native Error 5175
Delphi 2005. Application is developed in Australian and I am distributing in the US. Issue is on installing on US computer. Installation process has one of the last steps which goes and re-indexes all table - just to be sure re collation. Have UAC turned on on a Win7 64 bit. Application installs and run OK when installed by a standard user. If I then log off standard user and log on as administrator I get message Exception qryQuery: Error 7200: AQE Error: State=HY000; NativeError=5175[iAnywhere Solutions][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 5175. The idex file was created with a different collaiton sequence than is currenty being used. Table name: xxxx I do not understand why one user would have a different collation sequence to another user. Set-up on PC is fairly basic in terms it is a standalone PC not linked to any servers. Advantage is installed as local. The reverse happens if installed as adminsitrator and then try and run as standard user. Any suggestion very welcomed. UAC will not allow a user to write to a file in the \Program Files or \Windows directories. Instead it will create a "virtual" copy of the file in the \users directory and use that version instead. Check in \Users\\AppData\Local\VirtualStore for a copy of adslocal.cfg in which the language setting is set. Probably the user who installed the application has the correct adslocal.cfg file but the administrator user does not. If this is the case, you can either setup the administrator user with a correct adslocal.cfg or "as administrator" create a global adslocal.cfg file with the correct language settings all users can use. link answered 21 Feb '13, 08:32 Peter Funk 4.3k●23●80 accept rate: 32% Your answer to the original question. It has all the information you need. Keep in mind it is illegal to use Advantage Local Server to access data from a Web Server application. That breaks the Advantage EULA.
