I am in the process of migrating th server to win2k3 and Sybase 12.5. On the new server(win2k3 and ase12.5), I am facing a wierd issue. In the dts package to transfer data from Sybase to MSSQLServer, if i use Sybase ASE OLE DB Provider, select * from dbname..tablename where xxx=yyy It gives the following error msg Error Source : ASE OLE DB Provider Error Description [Native Error code : 208 DataDirect ADO Sybase Provider dbname..tablename not found. Specify Ownername.table name. or use sp_help to chek whether the object exists But the same query works well in Sybase 12.5 ODBC driver. But when I execute the step to copy the data from Sybase to SQL, it hangs and runs forever. But the same dts package works fine in Win2K with Sybase 11 drivers I am not sure where the issue is, ASE 12.5 OLE DB or ODBC or both. Can some one help me whether they face similar issue and able to resolve it in someway. Thanks Saravana Paul Posted on 2005-09-20 17:41:28.0Z From: "Paul"

To this point everything has been working great for months. Now we're encountering a problem where new tables created on the Sybase db won't show up in the linked server connection. I've checked permissions and http://www.dbforums.com/showthread.php?992875-Linked-Servers the object owners and everything is exactly the same as the pre-existing tables except the table's new. Anyone have any ideas wht's up??? Here's the SQL and error message: select i_con_contract from openquery([32tlsql2-dreamdb], 'Select i_con_contract From dbo.temp_client_3' ) Server: Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 OLE DB provider 'Sybase.ASEOLEDBProvider' reported an error.
