I complicate request:query: ='insert into t_group values (",'#39" + quotedstr (edit1.Text) + "#39 ') ';In the table t_group the first column key also has autoinc , therefore it I leave empty - value after all itself should be imported? And the second column has type textI launch and already produces an error:Missing simvol ' (' in line... long file na me in Office 2000 installed machine Subscribe You can track all active APARs for this component. APAR status Closed as Vendor Solution. Error description When trying to open an attachment, whose file name is Japanese and more than 17 characters (34 bytes), get error message below, then click OK, empty Office file opend. It happened on a machine where Office 2000 installed, even if the file was created in Office 2000. In native client, the file can be opened without problem. Other format such as text file has no problem neither. "C:\Document and Settings\Administrator\Local http://www.progtown.com/topic1137801-at-request-to-basis-an-error-30196.html Setting\Temporary Internet Files\%E5%E8%....could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct. If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files on the File menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, oe deleted." Workaround. Right click on the file and select "Save Target as", and open the file http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PK30196 from there. At this time, the file name is decreased to less than 16 charatcters (32 bytes) automatiocally. Local fix Problem summary Problem conclusion Temporary fix Comments This works as designed. The problem is that the path to the file exceeds system limit. Please use the following workaround. The problem is that file path is too long on local file system when extracted from CQ DB. The solution will be in moving attachments folder to the root that will allow to attach files with longer names. Any of the following can be done independently. 1. Move http server attachment folder to root a) create new CQ attachments folder for http server, e.g. "C:/cqattachments". b) add one line to file "C:\Program Files\Rational\Common\rwp\IHS\conf\Include\cqweb.conf" Alias /cqattachments "C:/cqattachments" c) set new DOWNLOAD_DIR in "C:\Program Files\Rational\ClearQuest\cqweb\cqserver\config\common.prope rties" to DOWNLOAD_DIR=/cqattachments d) set new DOWNLOAD_DIR and UPLOAD_DIR in "C:\Program Files\Rational\Common\rwp\EmbeddedExpress\profiles\profile1\ installedApps\DefaultNode\RationalClearQuestWeb.ear\CQWebMod ule.war\WEB-INF\classes\common.properties" to UPLOAD_DIR=C:/cqattachments DOWNLOAD_DIR=/cqattachments e) restart all CQWJ services Note: do not mix C:/cqattachments with /cqattachments. First one is full path on disk drive, second is relative URL to localhost. 2. Move CQ RM attachment folder to root a) create new CQ attachments folder for CQ RM, e.g. "C:/cqrmattachments" b) set new UPLOAD_DIR in "C:\Program Files\Rational\ClearQuest\cqweb\cqserver\config\common.prope rties" to UPLOAD_DIR=C:/cqr
database name prefix with the table name to specify a table from another database. table_reference ::= "databasefilename.abs".table_name Example: SELECT * from "c:\Demos\Data\DBFishes.abs".biolife For in-memory tables, precede table name with http://www.componentace.com/help/absdb_manual/faq.htm the MEMORY keyword: select * from MEMORY mytable 3. I have this kind of problem during the installation of Absolute Database: the system returns this message "Setup was unable to find IDE (Delphi or C++ Builder)" The Absolute Database is designed to be used primarily by Borland Delphi or C++ Builder developers. If you haven't one of these programs installed native error on your computer, you'll not be able to use the Absolute DB with its full power. 4. When I try to compile your demo applications or blank form with your components, I get compiler error: [Fatal Error] File not found: 'C:\Program Files\ComponentAce\AbsoluteDatabase\Lib\Delphi 7\ABSMain.pas' Most probably you use Trial or Personal edition of Delphi. These editions are not supported by Absolute DB. native error 30196 This error occurs because the ABSMain.dcu was created using commercial Delphi edition, and your edition tries to recompile ABSMain but the source (.pas) file cannot be found as the Personal version of Absolute DB is distributed without source code. 5. Running the following code I get the following exception message: "Error creating table handle - Native error: 2001" void __fastcall TForm1::Button1Click(TObject *Sender) { Query->SQL->Text = "INSERT INTO friends(name) VALUES ('Joseph') " ; Query->Open(); } INSERT, UPDATE, and other queries which don't return any data must be called by TABSQuery->ExecSQL() method instead of TABSQuery->Open(). 6. Ifclient computer crashes, the database file will be corrupted? Database file will be corrupted only if the client computer will crash during writing to the database file. This problem has a few chances to happen, but in this case, the database will be auto-repaired on the next database opening. If application attempts to open a database file for the first time and data corruption is detected, then TAbsDatabase.OnNeedRepair event is fired, so you can do necessary actions to inform user about repair. Database file could be al
