It's worked flawlessly for quite some time, we powered it up this morning and got a 'No active nodes found on the network' alarm. I'm rather confused as to what network it refers to, as this thing is ancient. Is this something anyone has encountered before and can you point me in the right direction as to where to start looking? I've got a decent pile of paperwork that came with this thing... Reams and reams of printouts and whatnot. I guess I'd just like to know what the heck went wrong. See picture below. Are you getting any good data on the HMI ( PanelView) or is everything lost ( no data at all) Any resent changes to the HMI or SLC program. If you can post the SLC's program and the PV's program ( zip them first) It will help someone help you track this down. Check wiring between the SLC and the PV. Post the complete catalog number of the PV. The more info the better the help. Looks like it's all on reams of paper The PV is 2711-K5A9 connected directly (I think) via RS232 to the 5/03. I have bought a category 6 ethernet cable so I can play my PS2 Slimline Online. I am using the PS2 game Champions of Norrath to set up my network since I do not have the normal setup disc that Sony supposedely supplies. Here is the problem: I select the ethernet cable under network error the hardware option, then select auto for the IP address and the DNS settings. I test the connection and all is well. I save the settings to my memory card and continue in to the online game. I connect to the network, then go on to the DNAS authentication were after a while it pops up... (-612) DNAS ERROR Could not find DNS server please check network configuration. I don't know 612 error network what to do now, I'm guessing I need to fix this DNS server thing but I don't know were to start. By the way, I connect my PS2 directly to my ADSL modem I don't use a router or anything like that.
