Currently there is a problem with the build server which can be monitored here: http://monitoring.apache.org/status/ Look for the "aegis" server (second item from top list). hosting JameoPotatoMay 27th, 2008, 01:58 AMHi, I thought my domain was fully up and running finally but I have ran into another problem. I can fully access my website from a computer on my server's network but not any other. I get this error message trying to open my domain from a proxy server (Tested the proxy and it is working): Network Error (tcp_error) A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out" The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time. http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/openoffice-dev/201404.mbox/%3C53501CFB.20606@wtnet.de%3E For assistance, contact your network support team. Firefox If it helps you diagnose the problem my domain is www.jameopotato.com . See the error for yourself. I ran a DNS check and my site has been up for over 2 days now and about 90% of DNS servers have it recognized so i'm sure that isn't the problem. I am suspicious of it being either my DHCP IP https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-808774.html address or my router (D-LINK Wireless G). My IP is Dynamic, but I have it set static on my router (LAN) and unless my router is rebooted it won't change (WAN). My router is set to forward TCP port 80 through the firewall to my servers IP... so thats not the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you spiderbatdadMay 27th, 2008, 02:13 AMAssuming public ip is correct with DNS and local ip is correct with ip forwarded by router, check SeverName in httpd.conf. Make sure it is www.jameopoato.com JameoPotatoMay 27th, 2008, 02:32 AMIt works perfectly fine if I browse to it from my laptop on the same network as the server. I get my homepage and everything. I ran a DNS check and it is being forwarded to my Public IP correctly. And it is NOT like I get a "server not found error". I get the specific "Network error (tcp_error)" which I have never seen before. spiderbatdadMay 27th, 2008, 03:07 AMRouter should be set to forward both, tcp/udp. My browser times-out trying to load your site. JameoPotatoMay 27th, 2008, 03:31 AMMy router is forwarding both TCP/UDP port 80 to 192.168.0.103 and my server is set static to 192.169

For one, and only one, of my clients, network error visiting the site produces the above "Connection refused" error message. The odd thing is that this is a public facing website and no other user seems to be able to recreate this issue -- all other users visit the site with no issues. I have had numerous people test and only for this one specific location/IP does this occur. As far as I know, there is no intentional configuration on the server that would be blocking one specific IP. I have also asked my hosting a communication error provider if they are somehow blocking that one IP and they have said they are not and that it would be an issue with my VPS/website or with the client's network. My question is, what can I check on my VPS/website to verify this is not being caused by something on our server? The client claims that everything should be working on their network and they are asking me to troubleshoot on our side. I am not a networking expert so I'm not even sure where to look. Any help would be appreciated. As I said, the site is up and working for every other user that has tested so I'm not sure why a single location would receive "Connection refused". Any help is appreciated. Let me know if I need to post some sort of configuration information from the server. Thanks. php linux apache laravel centos share|improve this question asked Jan 9 at 15:10 Vincent 1 Ask the client to do standard network debugging. ping and traceroute to determine whether they can reach your server. But in any case, this network admin type question is not appropriate for Stackoverflow which is for programming related questions. You may want to try over at Serverfault. –kaylum Jan 9 at 21:05 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote Check for Apache logs for that Ip, but it is probably a client issue, like some sort of proxy/firewall blocking the request.
