It says "divide overflow". The weird thing is I have done this in the past with no problems, when the document was actually a little longer. Any ideas? ------------------ Reply With Quote 07-17-200006:57 PM #2 Dick Knoblauch View Profile View Forum Posts Supporting Member/ Chief Agitator Join Date Jan 2002 Location Fort Wayne, IN WP version: 8.0.0.710, 9.0.0.528, 12.0.0.602 OS version: 98se, XP 2 Network: p divide overflow error 2 p Posts 2,937 I have this problem with a DOS game I play in Win95. If I realy want to play the game, I must keep ertrying to load the game, untill it works. Very inconvenient if trying to load WP. Are you trying to run WP DOS in Windows? ------------------ Dick You write/I polish Reply With Quote 07-17-200007:52 PM #3 morag Guest HMMM - that's an interesting thought. I've tried it (and got the same darned "overflow" message - wondered perhaps I should buy a teeny little plunger or something) on both computers; the new computer *is* a windows computer, when I want to use WP I go to DOS by going to the Start button, then MSDOS Prompt. So maybe that does run it through windows. And the old 386 workhorse computer, on which I used to be able to assemble the document but can't now, has had Win3.1 installed on it recently. I haven't been knowingly starting windows on it before going to WP, but maybe it's there somehow doing its thing. I wonder how I can make it stop? Although I think that is an actual message you can see for other reasons. hmm Last edited by Rapmaster; July 1st, 2004 at 02:02 AM. Rapmaster (I don't like rap music.) If you were receiving multiple seemingly random blue screen messages when windows was running, this would also indicate a dying processor. I once had a dying processor give me fits like this, I verified by swapping my 'new' with the old. The old was fine, just slower.
