Panasonic Dmr-ez27 U99 Error
you power up the unit, but comes back in a day, a week, etc: Reading through other threads regarding the U99 error, it seems that SOMETHING changed with TV Guide Onscreen IN AUGUST-SEPTEMBER
Panasonic F60 Error Code
2005 (many locations and cable carriers) that caused this problem with Panasonic products. I suggest we all try to call Panasonic (800-211-7262) and TV Guide Onscreen (800-386-7380) to try to resolve this. My E85 had NO problems since November 2004 until late Aug-early September when U99 started appearing for me and many others, too. Other threads seem to have this error (intermittent U99, not the "non-functional panasonic dmr-ez48v u99 error lock-up" U99) narrowed down to the TV Guide Onscreen. I'm convinced this is a RECENT occurence, so please call and bug them until it's fixed! I'll re-post if I find out anything when I start my calls today. Other people have called to little avail. Turn on your player. (But not in the TV Guide menu.) 2. Press & Hold the channel Up AND the channel Down button on the machine. 3. Wait until the unit says "BYE" and turns off. 4. Unplug the player, wait 30seconds. 5. Plug the player back in, turn on & re-enter

Hello dear customer.Thank you for using just answer.I am glad to be at your service.Dear Sir/MadamDear customer did your try to RESET the unit? There are two conventional ways to reset your device.METHOD 1 - Press and hold the POWER button for more than ten seconds. This shall reset your system which I http://www.justanswer.com/electronics/3ypw9-fault-u99-panasonic-dvd-recorder-display-will-not-chang.html guess you must have tried.METHOD 2 - There should be a small hole on the unit itself just beside the switch panel.Press and hold a pointed pin in it for about 2 seconds. The system shall RESET.Inorder to make the location of the hole more easy for you , I have also provided a link at the end from where you can download your manual for free and refer to page 66 of that manual to find the diagrammatic location of the hole and information regarding how to reset the device.Next problem is to get out of the error code U99.PROBLEM - U99 is a code which appears on the display unit of the device itself which indicates that the system is failing to operate properly.Generally this problem occurs due to discontinuous power failure or standby by failure.SOLUTION - With reference to the user manual of this device , the manual says Press [POWER ] on the main unit to switchthe unit to standby. Press [POWER ] on the main unit again to turn the unit on.This shall solve your problem. You should additionally also check for continuous power supply and also connect the device to a power surge gear
