Panasonic Dmr Es40v Master Reset
on Panasonic DVD recorder I have a Panasonic DMR-ES40V VCR/DVD Recorder that suddenly will not start up. After the 000000's finish cycling when I plug it in, it gives a F60 error code and won't do anything else. No power light, no fan noise, etc. I have tried the reset options in the user manual, to no avail. Googling

You could fix this by just replacing that board. Try to place it in standby mode first by unplugging it, wait a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. There is a trick you can try to reset it: unplug the unit, wait a few minutes, then plugged it back in. When the ooooo display starts hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds. This puts the unit in standby mode. From standby mode you should be able to start it normally using the power button. If that doesn't work the board will have to be replaced. You can recognize this board as the small board with the onboard HDMI port in the DMR-EZ47V model, and has the mini cables connecting to it. It floats above the rest of the boards in the middle back of the machine.
