I think this vcr contains the K Mechanism and if so it may just be an idea to obtain and fit a k mechanism service kit but confirm this is the correct mechanism and this can be done by downloading the k mechanism from this site and comparing. Alternatively check the belts and clean the mode switch and check the loading motor coupler as this is the most troublesome part on this deck. To do this follow the instructions for removal of the loading motor. When the motor has been removed you will see that it has a worm gear on it and if you remove the worm gear it has a small plastic coupler that the motor uses between the motor spindle and the worm gear. This coupler will have split hence the motor would have been just spinning without actually driving the worm gear or will operate sometimes. Replace this coupler or glue it and reassemble. Incidentally the fault codes for a faulty loading motor vary with codes F03,F04 or F06 as shown below. MEANING OF FAU

Panasonic Dvd Recorder Error Codes
Subscribe Unsubscribe F60 error on Panasonic DVD recorder I have a Panasonic DMR-ES40V VCR/DVD Recorder that suddenly will not start up. After the 000000's finish cycling when I plug it in, it gives a F60 error code http://forum.eserviceinfo.com/viewtopic.php?p=29818 and won't do anything else. No power light, no fan noise, etc. I have tried the reset options in the user manual, to no avail. Googling the issue seems to point to a video issue, but no one can tell me specifically what. If anyone can help me isolate the problem, I will appreciate it. Thanks. Answer this question I have this problem too Subscribed to new answers Is this a good question? You could fix this by just replacing that board. Try to place it in standby mode first by unplugging it, wait a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. When the 000000's starts, hold down the power button for 15-20seconds. The unit should then be in standby mode. From this mode try to start it normally using the power button and see if it cleared the error. You could also try a complete reset by powering the unit off and press and hold the "Stop" and "Channel Up" buttons at the same time for a few seconds while powering the unit up. Hope this helps, good luck. Upgrade The board in question is listed as the Digital PCB and it is the small board with the onboard HDMI port Was this answer helpful?
