() For the last few weeks when trying to download an HD trailer (480p, 720p, 1080p) for ANY movie, I keep getting the message Error 47: Invalid URL. (). I have tried in IE 9.0, Firefox 5.0 and Chrome (12.0.742.112) and ALL give me the same result.I am running the lastest version of QuickTime Player - 7.6.9 (1680.9) [QuickTime Version 7.6.9 (1680.9)] on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.I have also tried on Windows Vista Business 32-bit SP2 running QuickTime Player - 7.6.5 (518.4) [QuickTime Version 7.6.5 (1327.80)] with IE 9.0, Firefox 3.5.4 and still giving me the same results.I have found suggestions from posts that are anywhere from 2007-2009 but they do NOT work. This has obviously been an issue for quite some time and with NO resolution.I do hope an Apple developer or someone reads this so that we can find out what is being done.If nothing gets done, then I guess I have no choice but to go to other sites like Yahoo or HD-Trailers, to view trailers that actually work. I also have the latest version of Quicktime (7.6.9) and the latest version of Chrome. Previously, it was working without incident for many months.Using IE9 caused the browser plugin to launch, rather then QT, so it can't be viewed full-screen. Right clicking the link in Chrome avoids the error but also uses the browser plug-in so no fullscreen either. I click the link to download/stream a 1080p HD-quality movie trailer. Nothing appears to happen. However a small error box appears under the active browser window with the following message:Error 47: Invalid URL. ()Doing some quick web searching a number of discussion threads appear in various quicktime error forums, including some at Apple. None of the comments I've seen about the bug offer a solution to the problem. Has anyone here run into this issue?FYI, I'm using a Dell XP5 L502 notebook, Core i7 2720QM CPU, 8GB of RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I've tried using 32-bit versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The same thing happens in all browsers. The puny "automatic"/480p quality trailers will launch on the given movie trailer page. The larger HD quality movie trailers quicktime error 47 refuse to launch the Quicktime player and stream the trailers.BTW, YouTube typically has most new movie trailers uploaded in HD quality, either from the movie studio or via others doing copycat uploads. Those are in the Flash Video format Steve Jobs loves to hate. This crap with Quicktime just seems to be yet another thing making me think the whole HTML 5 deal is an unattainable fantasy.Edit: One work-around I found was right-clicking the HD trailer link and opening it in a new tab. But the URL must end with the ".mov" thing to work. | IP: Logged Joe Redifer You need a beating today Posts: 12832 From: Denver, Colorado Registered: May 99 posted 07-19-2011 11:08 PM Can you post a link for me to try? Also, Apple isn't very good at programming and/or fixing bugs. In fact, HOW DARE YOU not be happy with what you are given from Apple. Yes, that is really how they think. | IP: Logged Bobby Henderson "Ask me about Trajan." Just go to the given movie's trailer page and click the "watch now" button for the fly-out menu of streaming/download choices. To be clear, the ones that fail are the HD quality links under the "download" section.I do
