Install Chrome 11.0.696.44 at user level 2. While Chrome is still running, update Chrome to 11.0.696.50 What is the expected output? old_chrome.exe should be removed What do you see instead? It's not getting deleted log --- [0422/111854:ERROR:delete_tree_work_item.cc(115)] can not delete C:\Users\testing\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\old_chrome.exe OR copy it to backup path C:\Users\testing\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Temp\scoped_dir_9077\old_chrome.exe Comment 1 by sunandt@chromium.org, Apr 22 2011 Processing Once this happens, is this going to affect the later updates? If so, this should be a Stable blocker. Comment 2 by anan...@chromium.org, Apr 22 2011 Processing Cc: -robertshield@chromium.org Labels: ReleaseBlock-Stable Owner: robertshield@chromium.org Status: Assigned Comment 3 by anan...@chromium.org, Apr 22 2011 Processing Sunand, do you see this behavior when you update from 11.0.696.43 to 11.0.696.44? If so, then try to update from 11.0.696.44 to 11.0.696.50. If this breaks, then it is a stable blocker. Comment 4 by sunandt@chromium.org, Apr 22 2011 Processing Updates won't have any issues with this behavior. Tried with 696.43 -> 696.44 -> 696.50. Comment 5 by anan...@chromium.org, Apr 22 2011 Processing Labels: -ReleaseBlock-Stable then not a stable blocker Comment 6 by miguelan...@terra.com, Apr 28 2011 Processing The same error occurs here when updating 10.0.648.205 -> 11.0.696.57 and updating 11.0.696.57 -> 11.0.696.60 (Issue 80840) [0428/2129
