I can't seem to reproduce the problem in a standalone page, my snippet is: function addNamespace(key, value) { try { $("html").attr(key, value); if (document.namespaces && // This throws the error !document.namespaces[key]) { document.namespaces.add(key, value); } } catch (e) { alert("Error: " + e); } }; Never mind right now why I'm trying to add a namespace at runtime (it has to do with Facebook Like not working properly ... see this comment - Facebook like button showing in Firefox but not showing in IE). My question is simple - on what conditions does 'unspecified error' occur? jquery internet-explorer internet-explorer-8 share|improve this question edited Aug 9 '15 at 2:31 John 3,22232769 asked Oct 3 '11 at 10:23 ripper234 66.7k168464747 Which IE version used? –Andrew D. Oct 3 '11 at 11:22 @Andrew - I did say I failed to reproduce the issue in a standalone page. For some reason this happens on my full page though (can't link to it right now, sorry). –ripper234 Oct 3 '11 at 11:24 Which key|value you use: example? –Andrew D. I am getting a run-time-error (RTE)error thrown from the "__doPostBack" JavaScript method. All the error says is "htmlfile: Unspecified error" and if I debug then itsteps into the code shown below. When I just continue, it runs fine. My 1st goal is just to swallow the eror and continue-- is there http://forums.asp.net/t/1501301.aspx?htmlfile+Unspecified+error+doPostBack+run+time+error+on+theForm+Submit a way to do that? My 2nd goal is to fix the error to avoid it entirely-- is there a way to do that? Thank you. -- Mark Kamoski n/a Reply godly83 Member 121 Points 62 Posts Re: htmlfile: Unspecified error: doPostBack: run-time-error on theForm.Submit Dec 07, 2009 10:27 AM|godly83|LINK can you please post whole pages. including javascript. Could you please try the following, add the following script to the page that is shown inside the RadWindow: Telerik.Web.UI.RadAsyncUpload.Modules.Flash.isAvailable = function() { return false; } Does the problem vanish?
