up vote 0 down vote favorite 1 My requirement is to return data URL. But, when I run the application, there is an run-time error: JavaScript runtime error: Unspecified error. Here is the code that I have used. Temp path is the path where is location of image is. var canvas = document.createElement("canvas"); var context = canvas.getContext("2d"); var img = new Image(); img.src = "@tempPath"; context.drawImage(img, script16389: unspecified error. 40, 40); var dataURL = canvas.toDataURL("image/jpeg"); alert(dataURL);' javascript runtime-error share|improve this question edited May 6 '15 at 5:45 shA.t 8,47641542 asked May 6 '15 at 5:14 Vivek Vikky 105 4 Is there really a single quote after alert(dataURL);? –RobG May 6 '15 at 5:16 Which IE version are you using? I've looked at other posts that have this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29802481/script16389-unspecified-error-javascript-code same error. None of them answers my question. Check your levels of security in IE and see if the problem occurs again. –Ciprian Apr 22 '15 at 15:46 1 Side note: It's not the problem, but the above can be markedly simplified/shortened: var isChild = window.opener != null; :-) –T.J. I don't remember specifically what the Javascript issue was for this question, but I do remember that once I resolved it, this error went away. EDIT: I seem to keep getting downvotes on this, so let me clarify what I'm talking about. Is there some sort of requirement to use .remove() or .detach() or .off() before the state switches? I found this stackoverflow link that says "Unspecified errors seem to occur when something (usually a value) isn't set or initialized correctly that the browser is attempting to use." http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7633722/what-does-unspecified-error-mean-in-ie Perhaps, the issue arises because the niceScrollbar directive is not used within templateUrl's associated with the other states (that I click to from /#/home/projects). I have created a plnkr here but it does not run because I have only included the relevant files. If there are additional files I can add to the plnkr to further clarify/detail my issues, please let me know: http://plnkr.co/edit/gMaqNoiHN6DfBaJjHe82?p=preview

The error does not break the qTip functionality but it keeps showing up. I am new to jQuery. I forgot to mention that the errors start to show up only after hovering on the links for the first time. 10th November, 01:14 Post: #2 Craig Creator Posts: 5,586 Joined: Feb 2010 Reputation: 42 RE: qTip, jQuery & Unspecified error dev, can you incldue the non-minified script and post the error you get from that?
