When I try to create a new Fortran project, I receive an "unspecified error" message from Microsoft Development Environment. I get the same error when adding a Fortran project to a new or existing solution. The Fortran project gets created, but it cannot https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-visual-fortran-compiler-for-windows/topic/273529 be added to a solution. What can I do to get Visual Studio to add a Fortran project to a solution? Steve Lionel (Intel) Thu, 04/08/2004 - 18:45 It sounds as if the Fortran project integration isn't complete. Did you run the FixupIfort I sent you? Try uninstalling (run the "PreUninstall") first, then reinstall and run the fixup. As you know, this issue is resolved in 8.0.045. Steve - Intel Developer Support Top stevet96 Thu, 04/08/2004 - 19:11 I tried running FixupIfort as you suggested and that fixed my earlier problem of not even being able to create a new Fortran project or the "Application" missing message when adding a Fortran project. I closed vsnet yesterday and received this message: Microsoft Visual Studio Macros has lost the link to Visual Studio. Your work will be exported to C:\Documents and Settings\frank\My Documents when you quit the application Today, when I try to load the frank.vsmacros file in C:\Documents and Settings\frank\My Documents I receive this message: Microsoft Development Environment Cannot load macro project 'Frank' for the following reason: Unspecified error Why did I receive the first error, and why can't I load my vsmacros file? Are my macros lost? Is this a known vsnet error? Thanks, Frank Top Visual Studio .Net Macro problems...lost link, cannot load macro project by VBDotNet Team [MS » Sun, 20 Oct 2002 05:24:41 The message about losing the link to Visual Studio means that, for some reason, the main VS environment shut down without automatically closing the VSA environment (which it is supposed to do). VSA detects this, displays the warning, and automatically shuts itself down. Can you give me some specific steps to reproduce this error? -Josh, Mike, and Jeremy -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. However, I have encountered the "unspecified error" a few times when loading the macro IDE. Each time I lose some recent changes, and have to import several .vb files to reestablish my macros :-(. Any ideas on the cause? (I am using the Visual Assist product with vsnet, but I don't know if this is
