Since different people have different ideas about what is convenient, virtually all of the IntelliSense features can be enabled or disabled in the Text Editor, C/C++, Advanced property page. You can use the menu items and keyboard shortcuts shown in the following image to access IntelliSense.Statement completion and member listWhen you start typing a keyword, type, function, variable name, or other program element that the compiler recognizes, the editor offers to complete the word for youFor a list of the icons and their meanings, see Class View and Object Browser Icons. The first time member list is invoked it only shows members that are accessible for the current context. When I compiled https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn957937.aspx our main solution with the new studio the build succeeds, but nevertheless 6 errors are shown. I discovered that it's not a real error, but only an intellisense error. The code is definitely correct and everything compiled successfully. The code however is marked red and errors show up in the error list. All 6 errors have the same origin. It's a simple constructor call. Strange enough, but there are also some occurrences of the exact same constructor without any errors. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31943634/visual-studio-2015-intellisense-errors-but-solution-compiles The error message: Code: CS1729 Message: '

Is there a way to tell Intellisense to ignore errors in specific places? Can someone recommend an IDE that already offers proper syntax highlighting and checking for these new features (specifically, delegating constructors, initializer lists and variadic templates, these are the ones that got me hooked)? c++ visual-c++ c++11 visual-studio-2012 intellisense share|improve this question edited Feb 7 '13 at 23:23 ildjarn 48k579138 asked Feb 5 '13 at 17:29 Janusz Syf 9416 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 7 down vote accepted I'm quite confident you cannot do that. The CTP independently updates the compiler only, not Intellisense. Intellisense is based on EDG's front-end, which the CTP does not update (even regardless of the CTP, Intellisense and the compiler might disagree at times because of this).
