Visual Studio Just In Time Debugger Keeps Popping Up
you, I'm gonna make long story short. Two machines, identical systems on them, identical programs (mostly). One has Visual Studio installed, one has ... uhmm, something else. Sometimes when I try to install applications from let's say a CD, Visual Studio's Just-In-Time Debugger pops up, reports an "unhandled win32 exception in ..." and asks whether I want to debug using "New instance of Microsoft VIsual Studio 2010". If I choose Yes, disable jit debugging windows 10 it runs VS, if I choose No it closes the thing, and I'm back in Windows Explorer. Which would be ok, except I know the application is perfectly all right, and this way I cannot install it (in this latest cast it was the client from my bank for internet banking and paying bills and such). So, how do I get rid of that thing (just-in-time debugger)? I don't want to uninstall VS since I'm using it daily, of course. Edit 1 :: I tried disabling Just-In-Time debugging in VS's Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time, then unchecking all three checkmarks, but that just gave another error when trying to run the executable installation program. An unhandled win32 exception occurred in autorun.exe [some number]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled. In Visual Studio, Just-In-Time debugging can be enabled from ... Check the documentation index for 'Just-in-time debugging, errors' for more information. Very informative :/ Edit 2 :: The application runs fine on the other machine that doesn't have VS installed. To a large extent software on both machines is the same, with just some minor differences (systems installed from image). Minor differences: notepad2, ++, git, ... some small stuff that is left to dev's own choosi

"I also get a list of possible debuggers which only includes Visual studio Just in time debugger "New instance of visual Studio 2008"Story :It goes like this:I have Visual studio 2008 installed on my system but i was getting the error before i installed VB. The error however was different as it was looking for just in time debugger without finding it. http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-xp/an-unhandled-win32-exception/179841.html Now when i installed VB it comes up with the new instance and the Just in time debugger. At first when i uninstalled Visual studio 2008 it seemed that the problem had gone. However i really need Visual Studio so i installed it again and i am getting the same error again.I also tried looking through the registry for a wrong value in Winlogon/shell but everything seems to be fine. What i did for the moment i renamed vsjitdebugger.exe in Windows/System32 file just to be able to work until i find a solution. Iknow that this just hides the problem but i cant seem to find anything on the issue.Btw i have all sorts of Microsoft.NET framework installed which im not sure that have anything to do with the issue. Any help, suggestions, pointers would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your help!!! See More: An unhandled win32 exception Report • #1 redxiii October 11, 2009 at 12:41:30 Well, if you do not need all the of the different versions of Microsoft.NET framework, I suggest you uninstall all of them and then only re-install the latest version. It is a good idea to not have multiple versions of the same software as they may conflict with each other. Report &bull

I did not experiment to see if there are other ways to recreate the error. 1) Open Visual Studio 2) Load a solution that is bound to RTC 3) Open a second instance of Visual Studio 4) Create a new solution in the second instance 5) Share the second solution in Jazz The progress dialog box comes up and does nothing for a long time and then displays the following error. 2003 Updated: March 2013 Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Introduction When you build a Visual Studio .NET add-in, you get the error "Could not copy temporary files to the output directory". More Information This error happens because of this sequence of steps: You create an add-in using an instance of Visual Studio .NET. You debug the add-in, which opens a second instance of Visual Studio .NET. If the add-in was marked to load on startup, it is loaded automatically. Otherwise, in the Add-In Manager of this second instance, you load the add-in but you also mark it to load on each startup (to avoid loading it manually again). In the next session after closing Windows or turning off the computer, when you load the first instance of Visual Studio .NET with your add-in source code, the add-in is loaded too, because it was marked to load on startup. If you try to compile it at this point, you get the error "Could not copy temporary files to the output directory". If you go to the Add-in Manager and unload it, you still get the error. This is because the add-in is a managed assembly which is loaded in an AppDomain, and assemblies can not be unloaded from AppDomains once loaded, you need to unload the whole AppDomain. So, you need to go to the Add-in Manager, mark the add-in NOT to load on startup, close Visual Studio .NET to unload the AppDomain and open it again. Since the add-in is not loaded on startup this time, you can now compile it. You can avoid this annoying procedure in several ways: For add-ins using COM registration (all Visual Studio versions): At the start of or at the end of each Windows session, or when you execute your backup script (assuming that you run one just before closing Windows each day), run a script that changes the LoadB
