I can add a printer fine, it even automatically detects the right driver for it. However, when I try win32 error code returned by the print processor 6 to print to it, the job hangs in the queue for a little while and then errors out. In the Event Log, I see a 6161 Event, which states the document failed to print, returning Win32 error code 2250: This network connection does not exist. I can ping the printer and connect to the web interface

from the 2008 Print Server, and the printer is setup and printing fine from the 2003 print server. The driver I am using for the printer, an HP LaserJet 8150DN, is the HP LaserJet 8150 PCL 5 that came built-in with Windows Server 2008. I read http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/63a6432a-8d4d-47e7-a0b1-61ad2fe033b81033.mspx?mfr=true, but unfortunately none of the solutions seemed to help. Anyone have any suggestions? After permitting the traffic, everything worked as expected. Wednesday, May 07, 2008 7:34 PM Reply | Quote Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site. I have the latest and greatest drivers from the manuf website, and installed and deinstalled many times so far. there was one post about removing folders under the '3' folder, I have tried that one. vent Type: Error Event Source: Print Event Category: None Event ID: 6161 Date: 7/26/2011 Time: 9:25:46 AM User: my-computer\bxbx Computer: my-computer Description: The document HW_HRL_3.IM-H-402A.104_30123.pdf owned by bxbx failed to print on printer Xerox ColorQube 9202. I have added this one to another server as well via direct IP bypassing the queue altogether with the same results. The windows event states: Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 2250. This network connection does not exist. I can indeed ping this printer though, so I know it is win32 error code not dead. Also, it will print from the front panel on the printer. Any ideas?? 0 Question by:rhltechie28 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution byrhltechie28 It was a hardware problem after all...thanks Go to Solution 3 Comments LVL 37 Overall: Level 37 Printers and Scanners 37 Message Active today Expert Comment by:hdhondt2009-03-30 I assume you are using a Standard TCP/IP port with this printer. If that port is set to LPR (from Properties > Ports > Configure Port) make sure the LPR queue name (halfway down the window) is correct. If necessary try setting the port to RAW to see if that helps. It's also possible that LPR or RAW (port 9100) have been disabled on the printer. Check by printing a configuration page, or by pointing your browser at the printer's IP address. Failing all that, if everything appears to be set correctly, try resetting the printer to factory defaults. If you had supplied a printer model I might have been able to tell you how to do that. The same goes for printing a config page. If my assumptions are wrong, please supply more info. 0 LVL 2 Overall: Level 2 Printers and Scanners 1 Message Expert Comment by:mhasle19742009-04-04 Hi, I've seen already that error ID.
