September 11, 2014 10:46:32 PM Hi guys! So I'm fairly average with tech ability, and a bit strapped for cash as a university student. My rig has been fine until http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-7-blue-screen-error-0x00000024/42f8327f-643d-496a-a36d-c1f67bac8b44 one day I started it up and was delightfully greeted by the BSOD, in particular this one : http://s11.postimg.org/uo2pgvek3/image.jpg I can't access windows at all, through safe mode, last known good config, startup repair, start windows normally etc. Any help would be appreciated! Standard Windows Home Premium, ASUS M5A 78 L-M LXV2 motherboard, EVGA GT-640, Intel i5. Thanks guys! Origin and JDownloader were still running but I chose to force close the programs for the computer to restart, I don't know if that had anything to windows 7 do with the blue screen that happened afterwards but I thought I'd add that. I downloaded the whocrashed program and it said that it was caused by ntfs.sys and a possible driver conflicting with it. I already ran chkdsk /f and sfc /scannow, no problems with either of them. STOP 0x00000024: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM Usual causes: Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure Cause One possible cause of this bug check is disk corruption. Corruption in the NTFS file system or bad blocks (sectors) on the hard disk can induce this error. Corrupted SCSI and IDE drivers can also adversely affect the system's ability to read and write to disk, thus causing the error. Another possible cause is depletion of nonpaged pool memory. If the nonpaged pool memory is completely depleted, this error can stop the system. However, during the indexing process, if the amount of available nonpaged pool memory is very low, another kernel-mode driver requiring nonpaged pool memory can also trigger this error. How much available space on your first partition, the 100 MB partition? You should have about 290GB free space on your C drive. I cannot access the standard mode or safe mode on my computer because either way ends up restarting the computer before windows loads. I took the computer to Best Buy and they checked the hard drive and there appears to be nothing wrong with the hard drive. I have tried to find someone who posted about the specific problem that I have but everyone else seems to be able to get into safe mode at least. The following is the messege on the blue screen of death: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop er
