The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.'' Every single time this occurs my internet windows 7 stops for 2-3 seconds and comes back.I have no lag or anything else before or after that.I have NO router ot swicthes or anything else- the cable goes directly in my MB. I tried SO many things:I have bought new MB,CPU,RAM (was an upgrade, had same issue with old MB),re-installed windows 7 2 times(different versions),disabled IPv 6.talked to my Internet providers probably 30 times and they said its all ok(they changed the cable tho) and your computer was the weird thing is its not every single day (look at the screenshot - http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img62/3603/4ndk.png ). I think its a software issue, because look at the timings- dc on exaclty 10 min. Please if you know suggest a fix to this, because it so annoying..on every 10 mins it stops and DC's me from everything. Though- if you go to the routers config page-- assuming it's arouter-- you can reset through your web browser. to do so.. go to start, type in the search bar cmd .. then run. type in ipconfig . now enter the "default gateway" into your browser. usually something like 192.168.1.1. also.. have you considered maybe a bad ethernet cable? m 0 l Shady45 April 5, 2014 6:09:25 AM I have no router or modem and they changed the cable as i said on the first post m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
