are correct against an identicalDC that works fine (including registry, GPO, Local Admin, etc.).I have run the fix associated with error 0x8024000B without success. I don't have any custom content being pushed from WSUS so 0x80240FFF shouldn't apply. This DC updated successfully in Feb. and the configuration warning: operation failed due to earlier error, hr=8024001e has not changed since then. All other DCs (appx. 20)update correctly. Does anyone have any ideas how to correct this issue? I select all http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/72496-windows-update-error-call-error-code-0x8024000b.html the updates to install and all seem to download OK. However, when it comes to updating, every single one of the updates fails. I've tried re-installing Windows Update Agent on several occasions, but to no avail. I'm logged in with Administrator rights, using the same accoutn that the machines were originally updated with during their initial build. Looking through the Windows update log, the following error is being reported: PHOENIX\staffnsh in session 0 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 1828 524 DnldMgr Preparing update for install, updateId = {D725B33A-CFFD-4837-B791-45DA71175F79}.101. 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Misc =========== Logging initialized (build: 7.4.7600.226, tz: -0000) =========== 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Misc = Process: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Misc = Module: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuaueng.dll 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Handler ::::::::::::: 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Handler :: START :: Handler: Windows Patch Install 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Handler ::::::::: 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Handler : Updates to install = 1 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 104 Handler : Installing update {D725B33A-CFFD-4837-B791-45DA71175F79}.101 2011-03-14 09:23:55:368 2804 70c Handler Installing with parameters=-q -z -er, sandbox=C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\d 6a0858506d9996856009eb3a494a8c1. 2011-03-14 09:24:17:762
to this last night. The problem was with the update KB917537 which was failing to install and causing the rest of the updates to fail. Apparently there is a known issue with this update and it requires you to stop IIS http://www.yqcomputer.com/1024_59121_1.htm - stop all your websites and FTP sites on the server and then run the updates. I did this and all the updates installed correctly. Hope this helps! "MarkA" wrote: Top 1. VB code exit error when run via scheduler giving exit code of (c000008f). 2. Capturing SAS exit code (error code) using Ultraedit I am trying to evaluate Ultraedit as a replacement for Textpad which we have windows 7 been using as a SAS(8) editor. So far everything works fine: Syntax highlighting, Invokation of SAS Jobs, generation of log-File and lst-File. The only thing which does not work is capturing the SAS exit code: In textpad a window pops up indicating error (exit-) code 2 or 1 if the job terminated with an error or a warning. This is quite nice so we don have to check the log for errors 0x80240fff call error if there are none. So far I have not been successful to capture the exit code in Ultraedit. I have noticed (and tried) the several options in the Toolbox settings but nothing has worked so far. Is there anyone who has a solution for this? (In SAS-L I have found several threads concerning Ultraedit but I haven seen one covering exit codes) Thanks for your help, Arnd Winter (Pforzheim, Germany) 3.
