Ati Display Driver Stopped Working
anywhere. My computer was running fine with all the right drivers up until yesterday. When i booted in (Win7 32bit) it came up with an error saying "No ATI graphics driver is installed, or http://www.drivers.com/fix_install_ati_drivers.php the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware." So i downloaded the latest driver off the website (Radeon HD 5000 series) and tried to install it. The instillation failed tho saying "ATI Display DriverFinal Status: Fail, Version of Item: 8.812.0.0000,Size: 90 Mbytes" (and also failed HDMI/DP Audio Driver) with the error message "Driver Install: Windows® version does not support this http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/ati-installing-display-driver-failure operation." From google searches i have tried installing previous driver versions and using driver sweeper (+ rebooting ~100 times) but all have had the same error. Is this a problem with the actual graphics card, or does anyone have any solutions? Thanks you for reading. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top JesseW Posts: 53 This post has been reported. Update: Ive tried uninstalling EVERYTHING ATI. Now when ever i click on 11-1_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_ocl.exe it goes through the extracting process, then just stops ans disrepairs. . . It doesn't even try to install the drivers and Catalyst Control Center. Any ideas on this new situation? I'm afraid i'm in way over my head with this stuff. Have you tried doing a system restore to a date before it happened, Type 'System Restore' in the Start > Search box and click on the icon...select 'Choose a Different Restore Point' and find one from a few days ago and follow the prompts. Make sure the PC is plugged in if it's a laptop. Tony Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top nt0xik8ed Posts: 768 This post has bee
