Sorry if this is a common or stupid question, ati drivers windows 7 64 bit but i cannot find anything that works anywhere. My computer was running fine with all the right drivers up until yesterday. When i booted in (Win7 32bit) it came up with an ati drivers windows 7 64 bit download error saying "No ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware." So i downloaded the latest driver off the website (Radeon HD 5000 series) and tried to install it. The instillation failed tho saying "ATI Display DriverFinal Status: Fail, Version of Item: 8.812.0.0000,Size: 90 Mbytes" (and also failed HDMI/DP

Audio Driver) with the error message "Driver Install: Windows® version does not support this operation." From google searches i have tried installing previous driver versions and using driver sweeper (+ rebooting ~100 times) but all have had the same error. Is this a problem with the actual graphics card, or does anyone have any solutions? Thanks you for reading. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top JesseW Posts: 53 This post has been reported. Update: Ive tried uninstalling EVERYTHING ATI. Now when ever i click on 11-1_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_ocl.exe it goes through the extracting process, then just stops ans disrepairs. . . It doesn't even try to install the drivers and Catalyst Control Center. Any ideas on this new situation? I'm afraid i'm in way over my head with this stuff. The 15.7 driver package installed normally enough, it runs and appears to go through all the motions, but when complete it says there were http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/ati-installing-display-driver-failure errors and to view the log for details. When I viewed the log, all of the drivers except the graphics driver were successful, but the video driver 15.7 was marked as "Failed." There was no error code or anything, so no clues where to proceed from here. I had to uninstall the 15.7 drivers that did work (just to make sure they didn't conflict) and reinstall https://community.amd.com/thread/183840 the 14.12 drivers. Everything is working as before, but I would really like to try out these new drivers. 25902Views Tags: none (add) failedContent tagged with failed, installationContent tagged with installation, 15.7Content tagged with 15.7 This content has been marked as final. Published on Jun 1, 2014This tutorial will help you stop getting the sudden blue screen of death after using catalyst control to update your graphics card. How to completely remove AMD/ATi drivershttp://www.overclock.net/t/988215/how...UPDATE: Judging from the comments this works for some people and not work for others well here is a possible fix. Windows released some updates a while back and few years ago which mess up your video out black screen and the blue screen problem. While they did tell us to uninstall it they never released a patch for those that didn't. There are quite a few but this one of the most notorious one I know of (KB2670838). Here what to do.1. go to "control panel"2.click on "program and features"3.on the left hand side click on "view installed updates"4.copy and paste (KB2670838) to the "search bar" located in the top right corner5.If you have the update uninstall (it's ok it was optional won't effect your system)6.restart PC should be working now. This can fix games not loading or giving a blank black screen when launched as well as fraps just having a black screen. There tutorials you can find on youtube about rubbish updates from windows that cause BSoD and how uninstall them. Hope this helps and remember there are other updates that can cause this too.
