This is an old game, but the morons at EA don't give a damn about so many people having this error. This fix is not something I can take credit for as I found it while searching for a solution. The problem occours when the game does not create *.ini files and a map folder. It takes a minute to fix, but the lazy punks on EA just don't seem to care.
