Can't Burn Cd Windows 7
when i first installed Windows 7, I had problems burning discs, But I figured out how to fix it. Now for the life of me I can't figure out https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2464262 what I did to take care of it. I seem to be able to burn DVD-R Discs just fine, but anything else, like CD's or CDRW's, I can't burn with anything. When I go to burn, My computers will either say that they burned the disc and not burn anything, or the computers will just eject the disc immediately and https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/b6348eac-ad6b-4760-95b6-3cd91d0a2f4a/problems-burning-discs-with-windows-7?forum=w7itpromedia give me an error code (0xC0AA0301) and say they could not write to device. I have two seperate systems doing the same thing. Have checked drivers, registry entries, and yet I can't figure out what I did the first time I had the problem to try it again. I really have to figure this out though. I have an old dell laptop with a messed up HD, and I need to reinstall windows XP for it, and all I have is an ISO of my system disc to work with.... I need to fix this and get that ISO on disc! Tuesday, July 21, 2009 3:00 AM Reply | Quote Answers 3 Sign in to vote Hey Joel Can't find the firmware update for my drive. I've got a PIONEER DVDRW K17B. Can you help me? All I want to know is if the cd burner works fine and I have a driver/firmware problem or if I should get a new one? Is there any app to test the CD DRIVE? Thanks Nicolas You have tried googling "drive model firmware upgrade"?

Windows 7: DVD burn error 'there was a problem' 04 Jun 2012 #1 Enchant2 Windows 7 Pro 32 1 posts DVD burn error 'there was a problem' I have burned CD's and DVDs before no problem. Now I get a window 'Error - there was a problem burning this disc' after maybe 2 minutes of building the image file. Using the built in burn appl in 7 Pro. (I'll try another appl if I can't solve this.) DVD +R disc is fine, doesn't begin to even burn. Can't be hardware because it's worked fine before. Can't be intermittent as I haven't removed/touched any internals. Tried making the pagefile larger, to match ram of 2GB ( min 2048, max 4000). Same. Lots of room on the hard drive. Can't believe it would be because data is 3.64 GB because 7 should just use the hard drive if it runs out of ram. Thank you in advance.
