when the server share is inaccessible or no longer exists.
If the user who made the shares offline can access the machine then recovering the files is pretty easy. Open Explorer from the user's login account, click csccmd windows 10 on Tools in the menu bar, click on Folder options and then offlineCsccmd Windows 8
files tab. Now click on ‘View Offline files‘ tab. It opens Offline Files folder, select all the files, open some extract offline files windows 7 other folder on the local drive and paste the files there. If the above method does not work then we have this offline files managing tool called CSCCMD.EXE. Using this tool we can http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/csccmd-doesnt-extract-all-the-offline-files-i-get/9939bb8f-ef0c-4a03-93c8-09738badaf0a restore the files by just running a single command from command line. Let's see how to do it.Let's say you want to recover the files to C:docs directory then we can do this by running the below commandcsccmd.exe /extract /target:c:docs /recurseIf you want to recover files that belong to a particular server and share you can specify that too using /extract switch. csccmd.exe /extract:servershare /target:c:docs http://www.technlg.net/windows/recovering-offline-files-cache-csccmd/ /recurse If you want to extract only the files that are modified locally then you can add /onlymodified switch to the command. csccmd.exe /extrace:servershare /target:c:docs /recurse /onlymodified If the offline files metadata or index files get corrupted then csccmd.exe may not work. In that case the only option left out is to recover the files manually as described in How to recover offline files when the cache is corrupted Note:/extract option is not available with CSCCMD.EXE 1.0. It's available only in the latest version i.e CSCCMD.EXE 1.1 . This can be downloaded from http://www.jacksontechnical.com/pubfiles/csccmd_v1.1.zipThis tools works on XP and Server 2003 only. This is not supported for Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. { 0 comments… add one } Cancel replyLeave a Comment Name Email Website Comment Next post: Disable offline files using registry keyPrevious post: Offline Files ServiceRecent Posts fgrep files Create MySQL user on AWS RDS server Replace URL paths with Search Regex plugin Configure fingerprint login Dell laptop Zero Spam does not work with latest wordpress version SparkException File ./myapplication.jar exists and does not match contents of Hadoop file system commands Syncing firefox bookmarks sync key Copy contacts to Nokia Lu

Solved Recovery of deleted offline files Posted on 2007-12-12 Storage Software 1 Verified Solution 5 Comments 2,115 Views Last Modified: 2012-08-13 Hello, I recently had a laptop connected to our windows 7 Server and was utilizing the offline files features. The path of the my documents folder was changed to match the server address. This is where I thought the files now resided. This also allowed me to view these files through terminal services/remote desktop on that server. Offline files were enabled to allow access away from the network. Here's the problem. I am giving the laptop to a new offline files windows user, so I first turned off the offline files feature, the computer asked for a restart, so I did. Once back up I saw all the files on the c drive. I then deleted them because I thought they were backed up on the server? Well they are no longer on the server and and have been deleted off the laptop. They went to the recycle bin and I then emptied it. I did all this because I thought the files were still on the server. I need those files. How can I get them back. I tried recovery software on the laptop. No luck. I have searched the forums with no luck. What can I do???
