had a problem staring up diablo 2. When I do I get a error 22 (direct draw failed to initialize). I've tried this in every compatibility mode and with all other compatibility settings such as 256 colour mode. Windows XP mode gives the same error. Diablo's video tester informs me that no compatible video modes are available (directdraw, direct3d and 3dfxglide). A friend of mine is having diablo 2 windows 7 patch the same issue on a different system. My system is in my profile if that helps. Any solutions for this out there? After that's loaded up, go to the display tab and click the "Text DirectDraw" button. It sounds like there might be an issue with your current video card drivers. If the test fails, try to find some new drivers for your video card on the Internet (preferably from the manufacturers website). Did this just start happening 2 windows 7 recently?
