> Windows 7 Networking Question 0 Sign in to vote Ok...my event Viewer is full with window installer error windows 7 always the samethree DCOM 10016 errors... one of the repeating ones (they're all the same 10016 error): The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission http://www.sevenforums.com/performance-maintenance/303429-win-7-error-event-10016-distributedcom.html for the COM Server application with CLSID {B77C4C36-0154-4C52-AB49-FAA03837E47F} and APPID {EA022610-0748-4C24-B229-6C507EBDFDBB} to the user ROCK-PC\Frank SID (S-1-5-21-143145692-2144793088-312009153-1000) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. I granted activation permission to all of them but still get these errors. The first two applications are from https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/099d2cad-ca09-4489-b1e8-4457f6fe9c5d/distributedcom-errors-event-id-10016?forum=w7itpronetworking fdPHost and the third one here is from homegroupProvider if this is any help. What could cause these errors? I checked a hundred times if the security settings changed for the user but everything is granted. My computer seems to work OK but I still would like to get rid of these errors.
