Posts 2,457 Gamer IDs windows 7 DLNA Protocol error 2006 on PS3 Hey guys...for those who own a PS3, I need your help. When I originally set up my PS3, I could stream videos, music, photos, etc from my PC to my PS3. For some reason, I am now getting the "DLNA Protocol error 2006" when I try to connect to my media server. It doesn't even detect the media server right now. I do have internet access though...that's not an issue. dlna windows 7 I am running Windows XP and using Windows Media Player 11. I have googled this topic several times, but I'm finding that I'm led all over the place...some of the info is a couple years old...It's just not working out. I can't pinpoint the exact time that this started, but the only two major things that have happened to my pc around that time are I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and I had a prolonged power outage where my internet required being set up again by the provider. Any suggestions? Thanks! Long may your big jib draw, me ol' cocky! Reply With Quote 02-03-2010,07:31 PM #2 SaskNewfie View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Stunned as me arse! If it does you will need to find a way allow access to your W

Andy 0 Comments andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Sorry, forgot to mention that the server is running on a Synology DS2413+ with the latest 4.3 beta OS. 0 mfeingol Director of Engineering Posts: 5,057Members, Plex Employee, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja Plex Employee July 2013 0.9.8.3 on Windows works reasonably well with my PS3.Error 2006 usually means a network or connectivity issue. Is it possible the upgrade coincided with some change to the network? Are there any errors in the Plex DLNA Server.log? Is the DLNA server process staying up? 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Nothing changed on the network and all is connected via Gigabit switch. I'm actually a network engineer so know I've got all of that side perfect. Am just re-adding the sections back to the Library and will let you know how I get on. Thanks, Andy 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Just had the error again with my Movies section. Quick question, how do I get the log out of the Plex on the Synology? It doesn't allow me to copy and paste. Thanks, Andy 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Hello everybody. No news about the 2006 error? I'm asking cuz I have a folder named 'Videoclips' with thousands of files and everytime I try to browse this folder on Plex using my PS3 I receive a "2006 error" and cannot see any file. Any tips to help me? Thanks a lot, cheers from Brazil. Mary. 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Btw, I'm on a wi-fi network.
