All I want to know is if the cd burner works fine and I have a driver/firmware problem or if I should get a new one? Is there any app to test the CD DRIVE? Thanks Nicolas You have tried googling "drive model firmware upgrade"? Did you check Pioneer's website for a firmware upgrade? If you have the Nero burning suite, you have CD drive test apps already installed. If not, google the apps and see you can find standalone versions of them. Since the OS I'm in right now does not have Nero, I am going off of memory on this... There is Nero InfoTool, Drive Speed, CD Speed, see if any of those help with the burning process. You can also try the error-checking features built into ImgBurn (imgburn.com ), to see if the drive burns correctly.Hello! (I'll try another appl if I can't solve this.) DVD +R disc is fine, doesn't begin to even burn. Can't be hardware because it's worked fine before. Can't http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/233287-dvd-burn-error-there-problem.html be intermittent as I haven't removed/touched any internals. Tried making the pagefile larger, to match ram of 2GB ( min 2048, max 4000). Same. Lots of room on the hard drive. Can't believe it would be because data is 3.64 GB because 7 should just use the hard drive if it runs out of ram. Thank you in advance.
