Running (PB will not start) December 07, 2011 06:33AM I has got a virus on my pc so I ran maywarebytes as well as my zone alarm pro latest windows 7 ipsec vpn server and CC cleaner. The virus has been removed but now I can not get

om PB to run. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling ver 1.1 and I'm getting a error message saying that to windows 7 ipsec service check that the windows services are running? It also says: Base Filtering Engine IPsec Policy Agents IKE and AuthIpsec Keyring Module I went into the windows services and saw that the Ipsec and Ike services http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/windows-could-not-start-the-ike-and-authip-ipsec/be7442ca-c8f7-4a3b-b552-78d22f803c9d were running and set on auto. I could not find the Base Filtering Engine though. I'm running Win 7 64 bit. I did fix the problem . All i did was uninstall maywarebytes and started up PB ... and it is running fine and working as it should . I'm recently recovering from a mild virus infection on my computer, and noticed that after I had run Avast! and Malwarebytes to remove the virus, my computer lost its internet functionality. Upon running ipconfig in command prompt, I noticed that the computer was not being assigned an IP address, which lead me to believe there could be an issue with DHCP. When running services.msc, I notice that both DHCP client and TCP/IP netbios are not running, and when I try to run them, I get an error 1075, that the files are "either non-existent or marked for deletion". I noticed that someone else had posted a very similar problem, but a few of the more advanced fixes seemed specifically tailored for their issue. Below are the fixes I've attempted thus far - 1. Checked the registry for DHCP’s dependencies (3 are listed, Afd, Tcpip, and NetBT). 2. Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults by typing “netsh int ip reset reset.log” into command prompt. 3. Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults by typing “netsh winsock reset catalog” into command prompt. 4. Ran “sfc /scannow” with an XP SP3 CD. I'm currently running Windows XP Media Center, Service Pack 3 on a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop I had purchased in mid-2006. Back t
