I never heard of that website. It looks like it will come in very handy. One of those posts led me to the fix for my problem. I thoght I was just forwarding DHCP requests on the router however I was forwarding the NetBIOS broadcasts unknowingly as well. As a result another DC was preventing this DC from becomming the segment master browser. As soon as I blocked the NetBT broadcasts the problem went away. Thanks again. Irv, you are always free to hijack your own thread. However, two things: 1) Please do not use URL shortening, as with tinyurl. I've started a campaign to wipe them out here at http://www.winvistatips.com/threads/netbt-event-id-4321-error-in-system-log.735244/ HTG. 2) You will do better getting the word out with a new topic showing up on the front page, like so. Since it was of such a limited time I didn't want to start a new thread, but thought you alone might be interested in the s/w. I did look at it, and right off the bat I got scared off. Remember I couldn't reduce my C: drive enough and gave http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/vista-xp-network-sharing-problems/page/2 up once it got to 175GB's... so I got this program (I'm running Vista 64 bit and NO free programs seem to exist for it). Ran it and it will RESIZE C:, but that little check box on the bottom of RESIZE bothered me. If checked only a small amount of space could be recovered. The wording indicates with that check box selected it would only 'move' non-used data areas. Hmm, did I want to chance the boot drive NOT being usable? It didn't come with a boot disk, so I'm not sure I'll try it without a backup, but Ghost doesn't like to install to a smaller size partition... Makes me wonder if it is worth it. Their forums have quite a few complaints of creating a non-bootable system. Reports: · Posted 7 years ago Top ashi Posts: 33 This post has been reported. Are you still using networkmagic?? i think it is time to uninstall it.. and see if it works without it. anyway have you read this one? http://www.networkgarage.com/2.....and_p.html Reports: · Posted 7 years ago Top ispalten Posts: 6259 This post has been reported. Ashi, interesting link, thanks. NM is ONLY on the 2 XP systems. Not the Vista system. XP's share perfectly between themselves. Matter of fact, both are running Norton's Internet Security Suite 2009 and exhibit no problems between them. I think my problem is within Vista itself. Why? Because I can't see the COMPUTERNAME of the VISTA system when doing a NEW VIEW on it? I can't do a NET SHARE with th
